Goddess of Hospitality Shawl

red shawlThis is done in Paton’s yarn with sequins. It’s not blocked yet. The pattern is on sale at Annie’s website but I got it from a magazine, (Crochet World or Crochet Today) can’t remember which. It’s a nice and long shawl but I think if I had to make another I might try to make it a little wider.  I love the sequins in the yarn!!!

Love this little pineapple!!

pineappThis was a gift to a friend. It was a free pattern but I so love the shape!!

Dad’s chair back

red squareI’ve gotten a lot of practice with this pattern. I think I’ve made 4 or 5 of these. This picture is with size 10 thread but I think I may need to use size 3 to get it big enough for the back of his chair. I had made 2 of this pattern in lusture sheen for the back of his couch and he liked them so much I was told to make a smaller one for his chair! Of course the size 3 red thread is on back order, guess he will have to wait!

I forgot to post this!!!!!

shawlThis is a long double wrap shawl with pineapple edgings!! (love pineapples). It is done in light mohair. I may get to wear this one since I live were it just doesn’t get very cold. I can tell ya where to find this pattern, just ask. This is yarn from my hoard…. pictures of hoard to follow!! LOL!

I wish I had more time to work on my projects! Having to work a job really cramps my crochet time!

Real Antiques

These were not made by me but are old. You can see that they are a bit faded. The back is a plain double crochet. The pattern for these can be found at Maggie’s Crochet.

Future Tablecloth

I’m using a yarn

pattern with thread.

So far I have 5 squares

finished so it’s gonna be a while before there

is a finished product.

Pineapple shawl

This was a free pattern called Village Shawl. I omitted the fringe, not my thing. But I do love the pineapple patterns!!

I have informed Mr Crochety that I will be hoarding yarn and thread. I figure when I retire and have time to crochet more I will be too broke to afford it …………. so, problem solved!!

1941 pattern

If you like this one I can give you the pattern as it is vintage and free for personal use. I have seen 2 patterns for this same piece, I have made both and they are not very hard to do.

Thick Thread

I made this using Luster Sheen, it’s about twice as thick as size 10 crochet thread. It ended up much bigger than I intended but after having to rearrange the living room furniture, (due to Mr’s Crochety’s BIG flat screen TV) I needed a small end table. I had an old wooden hospital stool that fit perfect but was well worn. This doily covered it perfect!  It was pretty easy to work with the thicker thread. I have some in red that I want to do something with just don’t know what yet!
